So I have been saving Rdr2 for a long time, hearing all the hype about how it was so great I kept putting it off until I had a good amount of time to play. I first tried it two years ago played up to the first train robbery and it just wasnt clicking, the storyline was kinda slow and I didn't like the controls so I ended up refunding and thought I would never play again.....but over the last two years RDR2 kept popping up in comments sections and game comparisons reddit etc and I kept reading about "the World" in Rdr2 and how detailed and immersive it is on top of the amazing storyline. So I am in between semesters right now so I figured what the hell its on sale for 25$ lets give it another shot. I tweak the controls a bit from a couple guides which really helped a lot and even throw in a mod for dual sense triggers, okay awesome the game is feeling great!

So I finish the train robbery and I'm like okay that was okay but still not to impressed I get that same feeling of I dont care about these people, dutch and that sketchy guy Micah or the fat cook who keeps complaining, Just let me go roam and do my thing, I want to go hunt some stuff and build up my character (I really like freedom in open world games). Finally I get to go to the first town Valentine with some girls and a buddy from the camp (this kinda set the mood right at this point because I was itching to "go see the world") and see my first Western town and its super cool!!! Of course the girls get us in some trouble while we the Men are just trying to drink on a porch. Later we get into a tavern brawl, and I start to see how this game actually is and I cant help but grin and say "its al right its allll right". I hear someone tell me to go the sherrifs office and pick up some bounties, Im all for it , My first bounty is for a guy selling poison as medicine thats been killing people. I go track down the man, hes hiding out in some cliffs, I trick him into selling me some of his "fake Medicine" to Confirm its him then I go to arrest him he runs off and After a bit of chase I hog tie that sonfa bitch to my horse and start to ride his ass back to the sheriffs office back in valentine. This is where things get interesting......

On the way back I pass by some guy on a horse, I guess I accidently insulted him because hes starts talking shit to me. And I see the button "rob" pop up..... Well the f*cker is gonna get what's coming to him, I'm an outlaw don't F*ck with me bro. So I point my gun at him (don't forget I still got this other mofo tied to the back of my horse) and tell him you just F*cked with the wrong guy, Cant you see this dude tied to my horse? Give me all your shit!!!

He pulls out his gun and now were at it, bullets fly and Im the faster, I put one between his eyes. his horse takes off dragging him behind it, they pass the corner up ahead and disappear out of sight. I cant believe that just happened and holster my gun, well dumbass got what was coming to him shouldnt be insulting people like that. I follow him to go loot his stuff, he aint gonna need it anymore right. As I come across the corner I see another person on a horse trotting up and I dont think much of it but then "WITNESS" pops up on my screen and the Guy yells "Your Crazy Mister!!" and takes off!! I freak.... this guy is Gonna report me I gotta get him!!! I begin the Chase, We are both a full Speed, I stop yelling at him and take out my gun and start shooting, there can be no witnesses, I see some water up ahead and I think great Ill be able to pick him off there!! as I rush up He just gets to the other side and takes Off. I jump my horse into the water and......The guy......on the back of my horse....... DRIFTS OFF IN THE FUCKING RAPIDS!!!THATS MY BOUNTY!!! SHITT!!!! So now I have to Decide to I chase the witness or go for My bounty?? I decide the bounty is not worth it Becuase I still got stuff to do in the area and I dont want a bounty on my head!! (plus the game told me earlier if you get a bounty certain story missions can be locked) I chase after the witness we round some bends and out of nowhere a Horse drawn carriage comes out of nowhere!!!! The witness on his horse SLAMS into the carriage and gets shot like 20feet INTO THE AIR off of his horse and slams to the ground! The Carriage takes off at full speed out of there not slowing down in the slightest. I cant believe what I just saw. I trot up to him as hes getting up and shoot him in the back of the head.....An eerie silence follows as dusk sets and I take in what just happened..... theres a moment of breif respite from the crazyiness and then WANTED POPS UP, I have no idea how but I can only imagine someone found the first body. I see that I cant go back to Valentine I now have a bounty on my head and no bounty to bring in!!!

I curse my luck and Decide Valentine sucks anyways, they didn't have a pipe for Dutch and no leather tools for me, Ill just go to another City, but for now best to head back to camp and take a rest. I get back to camp and go to bed, the next mornning I talk to Dutch asking where we are heading to next? and suddenly Lenny Comes out of Nowhere!!!! Screamming and yelling They GOT MICAH!!! I guess Sleazy Micah got himself into trouble and now Dutch wants me to get him out, I dont like it but Its a job that needs to get done. But BEFORE I go save Micah Dutch tells me "Take Lenny into Valentine and give him a drink, the young lads needs to calm down" I laugh Like hey hey that's not happening I got a bounty. It doesn't Matter Lenny keeps bugging me. I laugh so hard to myself So I have to go back to the Bar now That I just Yesterday got into a Tavern Brawl IN THE TOWN I JUST GOT A BOUNTY ON MY HEAD FOR??!?!?!? YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME GAME LMAO

So without going into to much further Detail Me and Lenny head into Town and we Have Another Crazy Night.......This game is Awesome!!

I now understand What people say when they Mean "the world" in RDR2, it truly is something special and this game holds up so well even 5 years Later!!! I'm hooked!!

TLDR~ Went into town for the first time, got into a brawl. Decided to hunt a bounty down, Got into a gunfight and lost the bounty, got a bounty on my own head instead. Decided to skip town, was immediately told to go back into the town and drink some more. Game is great lol

For me, it's "The Widow of Willard's Rest." It's a nice boost of Honor for those doing High Honor playthroughs and I ship Arthur and Charlotte.
