The Rummikub game concept is simple to understand. Simply arrange the tiles to create the best color and number match combinations. Although Rummikub can be played online in single-player mode, optional game modes allow friends to join in or you can play along with thousands or millions of global participants.

Similar to the Rummy that you play with cards - you try to get rid of all your tiles by forming numbers into runs of three tiles or more, or three to four of a kind. The colors of the numbers on the tiles are like card suits. The Joker tiles add to the fun since they can be any color or number. The object is to be the first to play every tile on your rack. Aim to eliminate all of the cards that you have been dealt. To achieve that, the players must arrange certain combinations of cards that they can play on the common table.

The first to play all of their cards is the winner of the round. The winner receives score points. Another aim is to keep the number of cards that you were not able to play to a minimum since every player except for the winner receives the total of their remaining cards as minus points. Gameplay can last a couple of rounds and produce the winner with the best score.

On game startup, the Rummikub interface will instruct you to enter your name to begin play. It will then ask you if you would like to go through a quick tutorial to learn the basics. You will be given choices to play a Custom Game – you create a public table with your own settings preferences; Private Game – you create private tables and choose your own personal game settings. You can also see which of your friends are online from your Facebook friend list and invite them to join; Play Now – you play online with millions of Rummikub players from around the world; or Practice Game – play against the Rummikub server, define the turn time, set the opponents number and difficulty level.
