  • Rebirth Island is a massive downgrade to Alcatraz

    I think that Rebirth Island is a straight downgrade to Alcatraz, and the majority of the changes made were awful or buggy.

    The first major issue I have with this map is performance. I have a 2024 iPad Pro, and I'm getting stuttering/frame drops. Idk how bad that is on touch, but for controller it's a big issue since framerate is directly tied to sensitivity. If I had to guess, it's probably due to the huge oversaturation of items on the map. You can see from my screenshot how littered the rooftop was, and every floor on the map was like this. There's just way too many items for the game to render, and we don't need 5 cash drops directly next to each other, or 5 weapons in a room. The scarcity Alcatraz had was perfectly fine, and it also made it the friendliest map to lower end devices. This is the first thing that needs to be fixed.

    Next, the new BR elements and the map size. The map appears to be bigger, and it doesn't feel as fast paced as Alcatraz did. I think this is a downside, because the fast paced action was the entire selling point of the map. Not to mention the BR elements like cash are unnecessary. The goal was quick engagements and fast rounds. There isn't much need nor incentive to go utilize the cash, and frankly, having it pointlessly scattered everywhere detracts from the experience. I personally think they should remove it.

    Next up is the starting pistol. For some reason MWII skins only apply after picking up the weapon off of someone else, and not when you spawn in. Probably a bug, but figured I'd note it.

    Lastly the intro and exfil screens. Two things, one is that both the intro and exfil screens are needlessly long and wastes time compared to the old ones. The second is that characters no longer have their special intros, or their special dropship. I'm not sure if this is an oversight, or if they are adding this later. However, it is a middle finger to anyone who purchased mythic or legendary characters, and we all know those aren't cheap. They need to fix that.

    Anyway, thank you for anyone that took the time to read this. I hope Activision or Timi takes the time to address some of the issues with the new map. I know I was quite negative, but with some work I think the map could be decent. However, more than that, I really hope they bring back Alcatraz. Many people (myself included) only enjoy that one specific map for BR, because of it's uniqueness. The current update removed that, so I am hoping that someone will see this and bring it back. Both it and Rebirth can co-exist

  • A Complete Guide on How to Play Black Ops 3 in 2026

    Official support for BO3 is practically dead, but the community has kept the game more alive than ever. If you want to jump back in, the landscape changes drastically depending on your platform. Here is a summary of all the current ways to play, with their pros, cons, and security warnings.

    Consoles (The "Vanilla" Experience)

    • PS3 / Xbox 360: Avoid at all costs. These are severely limited versions that completely lack the campaign mode, feature vastly inferior graphics, and have the Zombies mode hard-capped at 30 FPS. This version is also currently DOWN on Xbox 360.
    • PS4 / Xbox One: The baseline experience. The game targets 60 FPS but suffers from frequent frame drops and aggressive dynamic resolution scaling, making the image blurry during intense moments. Playstation warning: PS4/PS5 has jailbreaks - there is players using modded classes or even mod menus in the worst case.
    • PS5 / Series X|S / PS5 Pro: The best official way to play. Backwards compatibility on the PS5 easily locks the game at a checkboard 4k and 60 FPS. Xbox still runs at 900p,

    Vanilla PC (Steam vs. Microsoft Store)

    • Steam (Vanilla): Do not play public multiplayer without protection! The official Peer-to-Peer (P2P) infrastructure exposes your IP address and allows hackers to hit your network offline or crash your game. Additionally, DRM (Arxan) and constant DLC checks cause horrible FPS stuttering.
    • Microsoft Store / Xbox PC: Runs beautifully (a stable 200+ FPS) because Activision removed the DRM bloatware from this version.The downside? It is a completely isolated network: you cannot natively play with Steam users or use Steam Workshop mods.

    PC Clients and Mods (How to really play in 2026)

    • Clean Ops: The best option if you want to play public Multiplayer on Steam. It adds an in-game Server Browser, masks your IP address from attacks with IP-spoofing, features an active live anti-cheat database, and fixes FPS drops. To find the client, just search Clean Ops on your browser.
    • Scroptss T7 Patch: The famous T7 Patch has been updated for 2026! This is a mandatory background program if you only want to play Zombies Solo or with a closed group of friends. It allows you to create an encrypted "network password" that blocks any hacker from joining your session. Works on latest Steam version. To find the patch, just search t7patch Scroptss on your browser.
    • Serious T7 Patch: The original T7 Patch. Needs a downgraded Steam Version. To find the patch, just search t7patch shiversoftdev on your browser.
    • Ezz boiii & T7x: These are modified clients that operate entirely outside of Steam's restrictions, running on community-hosted dedicated servers. Allows you to unlock all weapons and camos, and even level up offline by playing simulated matches against Bots. T7x works on latest Steam Version, Ezz boiii needs the downgraded .exe. To find the client, just search T7x Alterware or ezz lol on your browser.
    • BO3 Enhanced: This mod allows you to run the game using the incredibly lightweight Microsoft Store executable while maintaining your connection to Steam's servers.This gives you a flawless 200+ FPS experience along with full access to Steam Workshop mods. To find the client, just search BO3 Enhanced shiversoftdev on your browser.
    • Resurge: A mod that utilizes the Microsoft Store/Xbox PC so you can play on the clean Xbox servers, completely avoiding Steam's exploits. Also allows to play Mods on XBOX PC servers. To find the client, just search "resurge" black ops 3 client on your browser, go in Disboard and join the Discord.
    • BO3 Reforged: An impressive mod that modernizes Zombies with quality-of-life features similar to Black Ops Cold War.Beyond gameplay additions, it is designed to isolate your network connection, making Solo play completely safe without the need to run external patches concurrently. To find the client, just search bo3 reforged mod on your browser.

    How to Downgrade the Steam .exe?

    Download and Replace: /https:archive.org/download/t7_full_game/BlackOps3.exe -> This fixes the BAD BINARY error for ezz.

    How to Fix Custom Maps and Mods not appearing on Steam Deck/Resurge/BO3Enhanced?

    • Go to your game folder and create a "mods" folder and a "usermaps" folder, place mods on mods and maps on usermaps. Download maps via BOIIIWD OR if you downloaded via Steam, copy from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\311210. MAPS FIX: Your maps folder will be some random numbers (ex: 38903), you will need to change the folder name to the map codename (ex:zm_prison). You can check the map codename in workshop.json inside the map folder. FIX ZONE ERROR: Inside de map folder, create a "zone"folder and place every single file on it.

    Common Issues/Errors

    • Errors related to .ff, .xpak, ect: Your game files are corrupted reinstall the game.
    • Microsoft Store/Resurge/BO3 Enhanced Crash on Startup: Delete the folder on C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\Packages\38985CA0.CallofDutyBlackOps3PCMS_5bkah9njm3e9g and relaunch the game while offline.
    • Mscvp100.dll missing: You are missing C++. Download it by searching c++ redistributable
    • Can't Host Zombies Private Matches on BoIII/T7X: You need Radmin VPN for that. Alternatively use Clean Ops or Resurge to host private matches on official servers with no risk of being crashed by hackers.
    • Resurge/MS Store/BO3Enhanced XGameRuntime Error: Log in the Xbox App.
    • Game Steals your Mic on Startup: go to control panel, sound, sound devices. You will see your volume set to 0, set to 100.

  • [CoD] What do you think is the most underrated killstreak?

    9 kills for it was a bit much (7 kills and it'd be a great nuke combo option), but it covered a huge part of the map. I've gotten some crazy multikills from it. Stealth Bomber was also really scary if you were the enemy as you obviously didn't know where it'd strike.

    Unfortunately not many used it cause it was too expensive - 9 kills and you had to choose it or the Pavelow, and that was a no brainer choice. Also super cool and weird looking as well. It was just a satisfying killstreak IMO.

    I think i've even done SB - AC - Nuke combo before. Weird combo but I have gotten 9 gun killstreaks occasionally.

  • The Shadowed Throne Doll Map / The Frozen Dawn Cipher Puzzle

    ♡THE SHADOWED THRONE♡ The first one for The Shadowed Throne is self explanatory just follow wherever the green dot lands, while it is alwavs randomized certain spots appear more then others.

    ♧THE FROZEN DAWN♧ For the Cipher Puzzle , the colored points are the buttons vou use to help pin point the direction of the puzzles orbs . For example if the green orb is on the purple point directly, vou will match that orb to land on purple. Another example is if the orb is diagonal between the purple and green points , you will match that to the Cipher Machine.

  • Savage Impaler side EE soft locked on PC BNET

    When I get to the part where I have to interact with the tombstone to spawn the ghost. I have confirmed all 6 candles were extinguished and I've found nothing on google. Does anyone know how to fix this? I can include videos if needed.
