A quick response.
A new patch for the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is available on the PS5 and PS4 now, dramatically reducing input lag across all of the compilation’s games.
We’ll need to wait for professional testing to determine just how much of a difference it’s made to the ~100ms latency recorded at release, but our early impressions suggests the games definitely do feel snappier with the update installed.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Underfire for 'Atrocious' Input Lag on PS5
Over 100ms of lag.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is an outstanding celebration of an iconic franchise, but hardcore players are beginning to raise complaints about the compilation’s input lag on PS5.

I'm new, and the tutorial is really kicking my ass
submitted by /u/Tartra to r/MortalKombatX [link] [comments]
After half an hour of trying to move a joystick right to left fast enough to do the damn takedown, I finally realized you're supposed to move the joystick *around* in a semicircle, from right to left. It's not a horizontal line back and forth.
😭 This series is so ancient but there are still beginners, and some of us have no idea what these controls are
Edit: I'm using the D-pad now, but more importantly, I've learned that "<- X” does not mean "press right while you also press x." It means "do it sequentially, yes we know that we usually use a comma if you have to follow a sequence, don't worry about that, this also has an invisible comma in it too." So you press right, and then - super quickly afterwards - you separately press X.
I just... 🫠 Why have some that go "X, O, <- X" then? Why not put a comma between the arrow and the X? Yeah, I know they have a + sign if you're supposed to press them together, but they also have a comma if you're supposed to treat them as separate inputs.
Anyway! I've figured it out, and now I can do more than a straight jab :)
I'll learn how to string combos together later, I think, but this is progress!
Edit: I take it back. I don't know how pressing right and left makes my guy jump in the air, but everybody getting these super pristine combos with precise inputs is making me think I need a keyboard instead of a controller. :/
Edit: Folks, it is a night and day difference playing on a keyboard. I don't keep having my inputs getting misread. I press to go right, and I go right - instead of a dice roll on whether I go up instead. SO much easier now, omg.
I'm actually kinda pissed that the tutorial I couldn't even fully finish on the PS4 just got knocked out in like 15 minutes on PC.

Kenshi is Awesome.
submitted by /u/Soggy_Insect_4377 to r/MortalKombat [link] [comments]
I adore Kenshi as a character. His concept is like a much cooler version of Daredevil from marvel, where his is blind fighter, but he is guided by his weapon, which I think puts both a cool metaphorical and literal sense.
I’m so glad he’s been a playable character since his appearance in the original timeline, and the recent games we’ve had of him made me love him more.
What do you guys love about Kenshi as a whole?
