Mortal Kombat 1 Dev Finished with PS5 Fighter, Moving to Next Project
Fatality.
As expected, Mortal Kombat 1 developer NetherRealm Studios is moving on from its PS5 fighter.
Back when the team announced the Complete Edition of the game earlier in the month, many fans assumed it was Game Over for any future DLC or add-ons. That’s despite series creator Ed Boon promising the title would have “years of support”.

Mortal Kombat Fans Are Fuming MK1's Support Appears to Be Over
Knock out.
It’s been less than two years since Mortal Kombat 1’s release, but it looks like NetherRealm Studios is already pulling the plug, after the fighter reportedly underperformed. It’s worth noting that this is a Mortal Kombat game, so it still topped five million units, but it did so slower than predecessors Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat X.
First, let’s get to the news: Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition is available now for $69.99. You can also purchase an upgrade pack from the base game for a pricey $59.99.

Rushdown character with an Assist/Summon?
submitted by /u/ratlover400 to r/MortalKombatX [link] [comments]
New to this game and wondering if there's a rushdown character with some kind of assist as part of their design? It can be integral to their kit, or just visual (like a reskinned projectile/other move, etc.)
I just like characters with 'sidekicks' that fight/stand by you.

I can’t believe they didn’t create a mixed up characteristic character in MK1
submitted by /u/Brilliant_Jelly_8982 to r/MortalKombat [link] [comments]
Not really a rant or smth, but I feel like they could’ve created some characters with multiple powers like they appear on Invasion Mode. Like Kano + Sub Zero, Kitana + Quanchi, or Sindel + Reptile, or Johnny + Baraka, either as a kameo or as a full character. I think it would help sell the whole multiverse collision bs, plus easy new characters for the roster.

So is this all there is now?
submitted by /u/mmisthefreak to r/MortalKombat [link] [comments]
Every time I’ve checked the shop over the past week or so this is all I’m seeing. I bought dragon stones while they were on sale and have had basically nothing to buy. I also bought the dlc pack that had the expansion/movie skins back when the game first dropped into PS+.
