got to witness this for the first time

I was told BF4 sweats were far worse than BF1 and 5. I still bought the game. Comparing this to when I started playing BF1, Iāve easily had more fun on here. Ragequitted too many times on BF1 when I first started playing. Even now I still hate it sometimes. Still loving both those games though

Not so hyped anymore :/
submitted by /u/Public-Weekend5529 to r/Battlefield [link] [comments]
Iām not so hyped anymore for the new battlefield. A couple of days ago my dad passed away and he was the guy who got me into the series as a kid. I remember vividly sitting on his lap flying crashing a plane in 1942, finally learning how to play the game in battlefield 2 with the zip lines and grapple hooks and playing with him after school. Heād sometimes bring me some food during lunch and would tell me āsupplies on your positionā as a joke.
Watching him compete with clan mates on 2142 Camp Gibraltar and C4 exploit jumping. Finally out performing him in bad company 2, showing him new tips and tricks. And finally waking up to hear the captain border trailer for BF3 at max volume downstairs and later flying him around Shanghai in my Heli.
He was long distance at this final point of his life and the last time I talked to him I streamed some battlefield 6 for him and was telling him how I was applying to jobs 24/7 and was going to save up to buy him a computer how he did all those years ago for me so we could finally play together again. I wish you guys couldāve heard how happy he was when I said that to him.
Anyways idk if this shit has a place on this Reddit but I felt like venting / sharing it cause it makes me feel better, but yeah. Iām still gonna play the new battlefield just nowhere near as hyped as I was last month.
RIP dad, I lost a true squad mate and I wish you were still here. Wish I couldāve shared some final only in battlefield moments with you again.
