In Tuk Tuk Crazy Driver you are an auto-rickshaw driver in a town that has been infested by rabid zombies roaming through the area. Desperate passengers are waiting for you to ferry them to their destinations to avoid zombie attacks, and to take out as many zombies as you can.

When you drive, you have basically two options: hit the zombies or avoid them. Each tactic has positives and drawbacks. When you hit the zombies, you gain the points which upgrade your on-road longevity after reaching a certain number of zombie kills. However, in killing them, you damage the vehicle, and you lessen the chance to reach another upgrade in time before your run is terminated. Also, there are bonuses to collect which replenish life.

The auto-rickshaw is a three-seater taxi vehicle (vehicle driver in the front cabin), derived from the bike pedaled or hand-pulled one, the predecessors of the auto-rickshaw. They are known by many terms in various countries including auto, auto-rickshaw, baby taxi, pigeon, bajaj, chand gari, lapa, Keke-napep, 3wheel, pragya, bao-bao or tukxi, and tuk-tuk .

Although used commonly in countries with tropical or subtropical climates, they are especially popular in countries of South and Southeast Asia including, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia. As of 2019, Bajaj Auto of Pune, India was at least one of the world's largest auto rickshaw manufacturers.
